6 of 7 deadly
My husband tells me I've made some sort of vague star trek reference. I refuse to acknowledge the possibility.
What I mean to refer to, of course, is the so-called seven deadly sins and the fact that our worship at The Crossing brings us face to face with the sixth: Gluttony.
Gluttony is definitely my favorite of the sins to say. It's just a great onomatopoetic word. Can't you just see someone scarfing down a pile of food and kind of gurgling, in the back of their throat, Glutton, glutton, glutton. Like Gollum, sort of. And no, a LOTR of the rings reference is not as nerdy as a star trek reference. Though the acronym usage may be.
In any case, thinking about gluttony has me reflecting on all the forms of excess in our society... our culture... our... well, let's not be vague about it - in my life. Any of that in your world?
